Hear Better.

Cerumen removal is a procedure to clean out ear wax, which is a substance that can build up in the ear canal. Too much ear wax can block sound and make it more difficult to hear and cause discomfort. For children, our audiologists will determine if ear wax can be safely removed in our office, or if removal by an Ear, Nose, and Throat provider is recommended.

Two Methods.

There are different methods of removing ear wax such as the use of hand-held tools, or by water irrigation, which is a method where a gentle stream of warm water is directed into the ear canal to help flush out ear wax.
