What Is BAHS?

A bone anchored hearing system (BAHS) is a type of hearing device that helps your child hear by sending sound vibrations directly to the inner ear through the bones of the skull. Instead of going in the ear, it sits on the outside of the ear on a headband to send sound vibrations directly to the inner ear through the bone. This can be super helpful for kids when traditional hearing aids aren’t the right fit, or when the child has chronic ear problems. The device is comfortable, and it helps them hear sounds more clearly, making their hearing experience much better.
